Virgo Fidelis Preparatory School SATs Results

All our pupils take SATs at the end of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. It must be stressed that our curriculum is much broader
than the range catered for by these national tests. Despite this and other shortcomings we have adopted the SATs for two
reasons:-
- to inform planning of individual pupils' academic progress relative to national norms
- to give parents an objective indicator of their children's academic progress in Literacy, Numeracy and Science.

Given the reservations referred to above, we are happy to note that our pupils continue to perform at and above the national
standard in all areas to a very high degree.

Our Governors set us clear targets for academic performance, including targets relating to SATs. The Governors' expectations
and our determination to continue improvement in our educational standards form the basis of our continued academic
success.
